Navisol
Mobile Navigation & Heat Safety App for Tunisia (MENA Region)
The Ask:
For my International Marketing project, I worked in a team to develop a product solution for a real-world challenge affecting the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. We were tasked with identifying key regional issues and designing a product that could create meaningful impact within a selected country.
Our group chose Tunisia as the launch market and focused on challenges including extreme heat, water scarcity, political unrest, and unemployment. We developed a mobile application designed to improve daily safety, accessibility, and local awareness while also functioning as a marketing tool for businesses.

The Process
1. Regional Research & Problem Identification
We began by researching the MENA region to understand the most pressing environmental and social challenges. We identified extreme heat and water scarcity as major daily issues impacting mobility, safety, and access to resources in Tunisia.
2. Product Development & Marketing Strategy
We created Navisol, a mobile navigation app designed to help users move safely and efficiently through heat-affected environments. The app suggests shaded walking routes, nearby cooling centers, and public water access points, while also integrating local business and service locations along user routes.
We also developed the marketing strategy, including pricing and promotion plans, positioning Navisol as both a public safety tool and a local economic support platform that helps connect users to nearby businesses and services.
Final Outcome
The final product was Navisol, a mobile navigation and heat-safety app designed for Tunisia that helps users find shaded routes, cooling centers, and public water access points, while also connecting them to local businesses.
This project helped me better understand how product development in international markets must respond to real environmental and social challenges. It strengthened my interest in marketing and product strategy, especially designing solutions that are both practical for users and meaningful within a specific region.
