Give Back When You Can

Volunteering has shown me how important it is to give back to your community, even in small ways. I’ve learned that impact doesn’t always come from big actions—sometimes it comes from simply being present, showing kindness, and consistently showing up for others.

Volunteering at St. Andrews School has given me a sense of purpose in a way I didn’t fully expect. Each time I go, I know that even the smallest things I do can make a difference in a child’s day. Whether I’m helping them with an activity, spending time with them, or just being someone they look forward to seeing, those moments feel meaningful. Seeing how excited and happy they get when I arrive genuinely makes me happy too, and it reminds me how powerful simple connections can be.

Overall, this experience has inspired me to be more intentional about giving back and staying involved in my community. It has also given me a lighter, more appreciative perspective on life by helping me focus on small moments of joy. Knowing that I can positively impact someone else, even in a small way, has been both fulfilling and motivating.
